I grew up in Tennessee, but it was on a family trip to Colorado long ago, that I really came to life. All it took was one look at those big Rocky Mountains and I said aloud to all, “when I grow up, I’m gonna live in the mountains and write children's books!” I was just five then and already envisioning a dream and excited about beginning my path.

I left those Southern roots as soon as high school ended and ventured back to the mountains to attend the University of Colorado. There I indulged in nature, made great friends, and earned a degree in English and Creative Writing and eventually became a certified elementary teacher. It was as if all the necessary ingredients were stepping stones, building upon each other and leading me somewhere.

And somewhere is here. Here I am now living in a valley in the mountains of Southern Oregon. Daily my big dog Bella and I take advantage of trails among hills and lakes and creeks and trees. I’m an artist. I paint. I draw. I take photos. I do graphic design. I garden and play guitar. I fix up houses and sing and write songs. I cook and bake and write stories. And for the last several years I have run a business from my colorful and whimsical line of dog and cat greeting cards, magnets, invitations, and more to delight animal lovers.

In addition to Beth Bloch Creative Cards, it has continued to be my life calling to create books for children. Dream Creek Press and my first book of My Oh My Sweet Potato Pie celebrates the beginning of that dream come true!
